Littlefield Ranch

In1927, my Great-Grandfather, Will O'Brien was responsible for the largest cattle deal ever made in the United States. He purchased 10,000 cows from around the country and brought them together in Amarillo, Texas. Will’s vision was the bring together cattle with superior genetics to create future generations of premium beef. His view on the importance of breeding and environment was passed down to my grandfather Johnny, my father Bill, my uncle Jay, and now to me and my brother, Blake.

Montana Legend

The story of Montana Legend Natural Angus Beef is a story of the West. It is a story of hard work, a commitment to excellence, old-fashioned values, unbridled cooperation, and generations of tradition. The legend began in 1901 when the Mackay family began raising cattle on a 160-acre homestead near Roscoe, Montana. Here, nestled between snow-capped mountains, icy clear streams slowly melted into lush, pristine pastures. Cattle were raised on the open range, and upon maturity, took a three-day trail drive to Red Lodge where they boarded a train and endured a four-day ride to market in Chicago.

Rube's Steaks

Rube's Steaks

Rube’s began in 1973 when Glen Rubenbauer, “Rube,” opened up a tavern in the small-town of Montour, Iowa. Things were going well, but this entrepreneur wanted to start doing something new and innovative. A friend suggested that he start serving steaks, but Rube thought he’d take it a step further. He decided to let the customers grill the steaks themselves. Rube teamed up with some local merchants and began buying beef for his legacy. Customers could choose from a 26 oz. T-bone, 28 oz. Sirloin, 22 oz. Rib eye, or 32 oz. Ham. All of these steaks came with one free drink, salad bar, potato, and bread – all for $6.95. His philosophy was to provide a good steak and a good drink at a reasonable price, and word quickly spread about this unique concept.
