Mrs. Hanes' Cookies

Our cookies are made from an old family recipe that has been handed down for generations. Each cookie is rolled and cut by hand, the same way it was made a century ago. Then flavor is literally rolled into the cookies. We make six delicious flavors: Ginger, Sugar, Lemon, Chocolate, Butterscotch, and Black Walnut. We use only real flavorings & ingredients, and we add no preservatives or additives.

King's BBQ

What would become King's Restaurant started in 1936 with the opening of a country store built by Frank King. Frank's father, Richard, and his father, R.W., were also store operators in Kinston stretching back to the 1850's. While King's clearly has a foot in the past we have always tried to move forward with the times. Our menu has evolved a bit over the years, but some things never change. For example, we prepare signature items like Bar-B-Que the same way we always have and our recipes have stayed the same over the decades. The Carolina Oink Express was born in the mid 1990's in response to a customer request to ship Bar-B-Que to friends and relatives. We now ship a full line of Southern Goodness anywhere in the continental United States. I hope you enjoy learning a little more about our family and the restaurant and I feel sure you'll just love our food!

Whoop It Up

Made-from-scratch is not a thing of days gone by in Whoop It Up’s kitchen, located in southeastern New Hampshire. All of our baked goods are “homemade” and baked fresh to order. Whoop It Up uses only the highest quality flours and ingredients, and we don’t use any preservatives in our foods. We specialize in the good, old-fashioned Whoopie Pies, just like Mom always made. With a nice, cold glass of milk, there is arguably no better snack! Aunt Sue’s Carrot Cake is a sure winner, too, for any affair. It is deemed "The Very Best" by anyone who tries it.
